Hear Des McNulty MSPs closing speech in the Schools Debate in the Scottish Parliament, where he highlights amongst other issues the reduction in the numbers of teachers and classroom assistants since 2007, and the lack of permanent jobs for newly qualified teachers. Regarding the implementation of the Curriculum for Excellence, Labour calls on the Scottish Government to reach an early agreement with local authorities and teachers organisations that guarantees the necessary preparation time and resources for successful implementation of the Curriculum for Excellence.
